Understanding Vivvo Structure

Vivvo CMS is designed to organize content in a Category → Subcategory → Article structure.

The top level in the Vivvo CMS content structure is called a Category.

The second level in the Vivvo content structure is called a Subcategory.

Subcategories are used to differentiate between groups of Articles, which represent web site content.

A basic structure might look like this:

  • World (Category)
  • Business (Category)
  • Politics (Category)
  • Sport (Category)
    • Basketball (Subcategory)
    • Football (Subcategory)
      • This is your first website article (Article)
      • Football World cup 2018 will be somewhere (Article)
    • Tennis (Subcategory)
  • Weather (Category)

This structure remains constant across all pages of the website and can be graphically represented as follows:

Categories help you organize your website content. Proper content organization can greatly improve the flow and usability of your website and it is important to understand this structure before proceeding to develop your website.
