To enter your article management area select articles link from the main administrative menu.
Article management panel will load with a list of all of the articles that have been created on the right hand side of the screen.
From the Article administrative panel you are able to either edit or manage the existing articles, or create new ones by clicking on the Add new article link.
Sorting and reordering articles
You can change the order in which the articles appear and the way they are displayed on your site through sorting by its creation date, title or author criteria. You may choose how many articles will be visible on one page by selecting most appropriate value from the dropdown list.
You can also change the order in which your articles are displayed through drag and drop article boxes. Grab the article box (left click) and move them up or down using your mouse.
The changes will automatically be applied and you will see the changes when you reload (refresh) frontend or simply select View live site from the secondary administrative menu.
Edit article
To edit an article click on the edit icon on the right side of the article name.
This will take you to the detailed edit article options page that will offer you to change all of the article related parameters you have set during the article creation process.
To remove an attached abstract image just leave the field empty.
Make all necessary changes and then select Save.
In the Article quick options menu you may also find quick preview button
that will take you to a directly on current article.
If you need more info about some article, for example number of comments, tags, number of views you may mouseover info icon on the right next to the edit button.
Edit options for a few articles in same time
You may change one or more articles simultaneously by marking a checkbox next to the article. You may also select all articles by clicking on Select All option.
When finished with selection of articles, from the Select action drop down menu choose what you want to do with these articles. You may change their status to active or pending, you may set or remove headlines, archive/delete your articles or move them to some specific category or subcategory.
Delete article
Select the article(s) you wish to delete by using the check box on the left hand side of the article’s name, and then from the Select action menu select Delete.
On your left hand side you will find the article user menu containing Quick links, Search, Tags and Preferences tabs.
On the Quick links tab you may find quick links that lead to creation of new article, moderation/reviewing of existing articles and quick access to predefined search filters.
Review articles/Change status
After a page has been submitted, it needs to be approved by Editor or Administrator before appearing on the live site. From the left menu, in Quick links tab select Pending articles. A new page with pending articles listed will appear. You may edit an article by clicking edit button on its right otherwise select article(s) you want (mark checkbox), then from the dropdown Select action menu choose appropriate action.
You may change its status to Active. This will publish the article. You may set article’s status to Pending. (You will not publish an article but send it to be reviewed first). Set your article as a Headline or remove its headline property. You may also Archive article if you think that you might need it later or even Delete it for example it is not accurate or if it is inappropriate.
The article manager search page contains search within the results component that enables you to filter your articles by a large number of criteria. You can filter your search results by:
It you often perform your search using certain search criteria you may save your search preferences by creating a search filter. For example, if you often check only for those articles that have been posted during last week, in category sport, created by your favorite author. You may also make your search narrower by defining exact keyword(s) that you want to be included.
Simply define all your search parameters and when finished instead of clicking Search now button, go to the Filter section in the filter name enter name and then press Save filter button.
Repeat these filter creation steps for every search filter you want to make. You may create as many search filters as you need and all of them will be listed on the Quick links menu tab in the Search filters section.
A tag is a relevant keyword or term associated with or assigned to an article, for purposes of keyword-based classification and search of information.
By using tags, you can easily find out whether several people have chosen to remember an article, or whether it was useful enough for a thousand people. Also, you can use tags as an alternative classification of your website content, side by side with categories.
Tags will help you to:
Tags box usually appears on the right side of the article you are reading. In the text box field, enter as many tags (descriptors) as you would like.
You may notice there is already a list of tags above this form. These are the popular (recommended) tags that other people have used. You are under no obligation to use these!
You may also very easily delete a tag you previously added if you find it is unnecessary by clicking on the
mark on its right.
There is also a Popular tag box on some pages that contains a list of tags added to all articles.
By clicking on any of these tags you will be able to see a list of articles that other users have marked using that tag!
You can easily manage your tags from your Vivvo Administrative Panel. On the left hand navigation menu click on the Tags tab:
A tab containing Search tags form, and right below it a list of existing tags will load.
To get a list of all articles marked with specific tag, simply click on tag label. List of articles belonging to this tag group will load on the right in the article content section.
Not all tags will be listed here, but only ten recently used. To find a tag that is not listed go to Search tags box and start typing tags name. Search box is completely Ajax-based so you will receive tag name suggestions while typing every single letter.
To delete the tag that you don’t need any more simply click on the
on its right.
On the Preferences tab you may find general article options considering appearance of some elements on your article pages.
Set Show ratings to Yes if you want to allow your visitors to vote for published articles.
How to rate an article?
When previewing an article you'll see a Rate this article box. Just select a rating from 1 to 5 stars and then click to save it.
In Preferences panel you may also define if you want to display author’s name and publishing date of an article. Simply select Yes or No and save preferences to apply changes.
If you have turned on Show author info option the author's name becomes a link that will take your users to the author’s details page containing detailed info about the author and list of his/her published articles.
