Vivvo 4.1 Administrative Area

After you have successfully logged in into your administrative area, at a top of a screen you will be able see the main administrative panel, which contains links to all CMS interfaces.

Articles menu

  • Home - Takes you back to your administrative panel home page
  • Categories - Category management section
  • Articles - Article management section
  • Comments - Comment management section
  • Users - User, usergroups and user privileges section
  • Plugins - Plug-in Modules section
  • Layout - Themes, layouts and templates managing section

Depending on the usergroup you have been allocated you may use some or all of the functions in the administrative panel.

Below main administrative menu you'll notice MyQuickNav toolbar that you may use to pin and unpin plug-ins and search filters you most often use in Vivvo system. You can access plug-in or search filter with only one click without having to browse through admin panel.

You can dismiss the bar and remove all pinned items of you click on delete icon. To reactivate MyQuickNav you should just pin any item and it will reappear below main administrative panel.

Right above the main administrative panel the secondary administrative panel is situated. It contains links to preferences, maintenance and other important Vivvo functions.

Additional menu

  • View live site - Allows you to take instant preview of the web site as if it were actually in a production environment, where everyone using the Internet would see exactly what you see. If you are in Live Site mode you can easily switch to site Administration mode, allowing you to make changes to those postings you have access rights to.
  • Preferences - Takes you to detailed Website Preferences management section
  • Maintenance - Website maintenance section (Database management section)

The secondary administrative panel also contains your login information and Logout button that finishes your administrative session

Please pay attention to the left side of a screen.

Here is a Quick launch menu, which contains quick links to most commonly used Vivvo functions such as: add new page, add new article, review pending articles and comments waiting for your approval.

Below the Quick launch options you may find some useful Vivvo support links and Latest News section where you may read newest information about Vivvo security patches, available upgrades, etc.

Content section of your Administrative panel home page belongs to Vivvo Dashboard.

Vivvo Dashboard is divided in few separate sections that are filled with information of significance for site administration and maintenance such as:

  • Product Information - Here you may find info about your current Vivvo CMS software version and the latest stable version available for download.

Product Information

  • Website, System and Today Statistics - A feature which allows you to view 'on the fly' recent statistics regarding the visitors to your website and used resources. It contains information about number of visits, number of article views, number of comments posted for the day and a short website summary.

If you would like to have detailed website statistics, we recommend using a professional analytics software, such as Google Analytics, AwStats, Funnel Web Analyzer or similar.

  • Activity Log - Makes it easy to track activities of all staff members. The latest ten are displayed in the box on the Dashboard and it is possible to download a log.txt file by clicking on the Download log button (separate log file is being created for every month and the files are located in VIVVO_ROOT/files/logs folder).
